good news finally (which may look like bad news intially)  Reply with quote

Well,

I had another check up yesterday and my little friends are still hanging on for dear life and my throat looks raw apparently. To be honest I still find it hard to look at it long enough to see what the doc is getting at. I believe her though.

She said for me to take a week from yesterday to recover. So the first gig I would be ready for would be Friday the 9th in Pontiac, Michigan. This would mean postponing a few more dates of course.

However, straight after seeing the doc the elite triumvirate of our agent (Marty Diamond), our manager (Jazz Summers) and our tour manager (Neil Mather) sprang into action like some magical, yet functionary, ballet to reschedule the dates.

I will post these dates in a different thread so they don’t get overlooked. I’ll get Tom to do the needy in all the various interweb nooks and cranies so everyone knows when and where. For the most part they will be added to the end of this US tour in and around the last week of June.

I hope that you can all make these new dates and I’m sorry again for hassle.

g.x

it is always better to postpone, rather than going ahead and doing more damage, as well as giving a shoddy show
good to know you are healing well X

Are you still doing the Japan and all destinations East as well as all the UK festivals? Looks like a tough schedule to me!

Take it easy

I'm sure everything will turn out fine with your throat gary.
The polyps in the picture, well, I expected them to be something the size of a Rice Crispy or a peanut, instead they just look like well the tiniest of little mushrooms. Anyway what's puzzling me is: how do they go away? Do they just disappear or do they fall off and leave you in the dire danger of inhaling them?

Huh, the dates post is gone. Alas, he's done it again.

Rest up and don't overdo. Say hi to the other guys. x

Yes - I repliued to the dates thread and my post appeared at the end of this thread! bizarre! I think it was just confirming the dates that seem to have been up on the site for a while

Weren't the new dates just posted in a different thread by you? Ah, the forum....I can't keep up sometimes Smile

I'm glad you are taking more time to rest, I was beginning to get worried that you would try and rush back to touring, and end up hurting yourself more. We all want you healthy!! Rest, and get well soon my dear!

One question on the dates that have been re-schedualed for different venues though (perhaps a question for management). Boston is now scheduled for a place that has seats, and is quite larger...no longer General Admission. Is my original ticket going to be honored? Or am I going to be reimbursed and then have to fight for a ticket again???? This is a huge difference in venues for Boston, so am I hoping not the latter......
